The 60/60 show was a Success!

In July, after much delay due to COVID-19, the Sixty over Sixty Show opened and ran until late August. We were thrilled by the support of the staff at Highfield Hall & Gardens, the jurors and our fellow artists who all persevered in their efforts to make the show happen. As a result, hundreds of people passed through Highfield and collectors bough nine pieces of art. Thank you everyone!!

Now our collaborative, Art Because, is starting to seek venues for popups for Spring of 2021 and exploring the option of opening a smaller show in the Summer. We hope to keep you positively posted on the topics.

Update May 10, 2019

We are currently working toward hosting a show of art by women artists over sixty years of age at Highfield Hall and Gardens in Spring of 2020! More info will be forthcoming in the form of flyers, announcements, call for artists, etc. Watch for it!

Until then, we are working on new art. Spring has sprung, finally, on Cape Cod! The garden calls us and friends and family are scheduling dates to visit the Cape.

Anne Has a new solo show coming up at The Gallery on Main, 317 Main Street, Falmouth, MA The opening is May 16, from 6 to 8 pm and the show continues through May 28, 2019. Come and enjoy the art of the show, refreshments, and the work of artists in the Gallery!

Happy Spring!

Update from Anne

Here is a small update from Anne.  Over the summer the three of us have pretty much had our art Hproduction take a backseat to entertaining guests. I should add: Kat has been very busy working in the political arena to promote various causes which may or may not be clarified when she jumps in on this blog (if she does) and Elizabeth runs a fabulous Airbnb …..and they do these things on top of having friends and family visit!  Life on the Cape!

So any way, we have been creating a little less but we have managed to get this website up and running thanks to Zelda MacGregor, our web developer, and we hope to keep you at least somewhat up to date on our various doings about town and the world.

At this time would like to give a shout out to Matt Ragone, Renee Voorhees, and Laurie Lochridge for loving certain works enough this summer to want to make them their own!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!  I look forward to visiting these pieces whenever you’ll have me.

If you are in Falmouth, please be sure to stop in and see my work at The Gallery on Main.  Not only do Karen Rinaldo and Don Cross have a great gallery, the space is also home to various other events such as live music, poetry and literary groups.

That’s about it for now.  Check in from time to time.  we are all now busily working on more art because…
